Early Learning Center Group Leader/Lead Teacher

Crispus Attucks Association is accepting applications for a full-time Group leader/Lead Teacher for the Early Learning Center. Benefits available after successful 90-day probation period. Required Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college including 30 credit hours in the above fields, and 1 year of experience with children OR Associate’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, and 2 years of experience with children OR Associate’s degree from an accredited college including 30 credit hours in the above fields, and 3 years of experience with children.

Must pass pre-employment exam including physical, TB test and drug screen required. Must have a current PA License to transport children to local schools. Required State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Criminal Background check, pre-employment exam includes a physical, TB test and Drug screen. Hourly rate of pay based on budget for the year. Construction Assistant – Charter School

Crispus Attucks Charter School is accepting applications for a full-time Construction Assistant for the 2016-2017 school year. Interested candidates must have a high school diploma and must have extensive knowledge and experience in rough framing, carpentry trim, drywall installation, and painting. Working under the supervision of the Construction Manager with of a crew of up to 12 youth ages 17 to 21 while doing housing rehab will be required. Participation in various aspects of school programs required. Science Teacher – Charter School

Crispus Attucks Charter School is accepting applications for a full-time Science Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.  Interested candidates should have experience in creative curriculum and instructional planning and development.  Ability to relate to a multi-cultural group of young people. Substitute Teachers – Charter School

High School Substitute Teacher position available for Crispus Attucks Charter School for school year. Bachelor’s degree required. Experienced Cook – Charter School/Early Learning Center

Crispus Attucks is looking for a Cook for the Early Learning Center and the Charter School for 300+ people, including children ages 3 month-12 years and young adults ages 16-22. Meals must meet guidelines as established by PA Dept. of Education Child & Adult Care Food Program, including preparation of breakfast, lunch, and a supplemental snack. Duties include but are not limited to working within a budget, creating a 12-week menu cycle meeting all nutritional standards, meeting health and safety regulations, and handling the procurement of food and food-service supplies and other inventory. Candidates must have current ServSafe Certification, High School Diploma, and current PA Criminal Record, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Criminal Background checks and be willing to submit to a pre-employment exam. Internal School Suspension Monitor – Charter School

Full-time Internal School Suspension Monitor position available for Crispus Attucks Charter School for the 2017-18 school year. Minimum of Associate’s Degree preferred. Accounting Assistant – Part-time 

Crispus Attucks is accepting applications for a part-time Accounting Assistant to process accounts payable, including coding and matching of invoices, reconciliation of statements, and timely processing of payments, as well as various general ledger projects. Interested candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of accounting experience. Must also be detail-oriented, able to work independently and with constant interruptions, proficient in Excel, and a non-smoker. Experience with Great Plains software and non-profit accounting is a plus. Position requires pre-employment background test and drug screening.
