Early Learning Center Director

Crispus Attucks Association has an opening for a Full-Time Director for the Early Learning Center. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Director with a preferred degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Candidate must also have experience with and a working knowledge of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), PA Keystone STARS, Pre-K Counts and the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Current State Police, Child Abuse and FBI Criminal Background checks required. Benefits available after successful 90-day probation. Development & Communications Coordinator

The Development & Communications Coordinator will support the advancement of the agency’s mission and organizational goals. The position’s integral and essential role is the development and implementation of effective outreach and communication messages to educate the community and cultivate donor support. Fund development activities include donor data entry, donor acknowledgement and recognition, and assistance with special events. Communications activities include direct mail communications and solicitations, managing website and social media, newsletter and email communications, media relations, and creation of marketing materials.  Early Learning Center Group Leader/Lead Teacher

Crispus Attucks Association is accepting applications for a full-time Group leader/Lead Teacher for the Early Learning Center. Benefits available after successful 90-day probation period. Required Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college including 30 credit hours in the above fields, and 1 year of experience with children OR Associate’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, and 2 years of experience with children OR Associate’s degree from an accredited college including 30 credit hours in the above fields, and 3 years of experience with children.

Must pass pre-employment exam including physical, TB test and drug screen required. Must have a current PA License to transport children to local schools. Required State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Criminal Background check, pre-employment exam includes a physical, TB test and Drug screen. Hourly rate of pay based on budget for the year. Early Learning Center Assistant Group Leader

Crispus Attucks is accepting applications for a full-time Early Learning Center Assistant Group leader. This position offers benefits after successful 90-day orientation. Application qualifications include: minimum of current CDA, or AA in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Substitute Teachers – Charter School

High School Substitute Teacher position available for Crispus Attucks Charter School for school year. Bachelor’s degree required. Send letter of interest, PA standard application, copy of valid certification, and Acts 34, 151, and FBI clearances (current within one year) to the HR Department. E.O.E.

Experienced Cook – Charter School/Early Learning Center

Crispus Attucks is looking for a Cook for the Early Learning Center and the Charter School for 300+ people, including children ages 3 month-12 years and young adults ages 16-22. Meals must meet guidelines as established by PA Dept. of Education Child & Adult Care Food Program, including preparation of breakfast, lunch, and a supplemental snack. Duties include but are not limited to working within a budget, creating a 12-week menu cycle meeting all nutritional standards, meeting health and safety regulations, and handling the procurement of food and food-service supplies and other inventory. Candidates must have current ServSafe Certification, High School Diploma, and current PA Criminal Record, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Criminal Background checks and be willing to submit to a pre-employment exam.
