The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday is a perfect opportunity for people to honor Dr. King’s legacy through acts of service. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.
Honor the work and life of Dr. King through volunteer service projects with various organizations throughout York. Pre-register at http://bit.ly/MLKSignUp to volunteer for your preferred project: Bell Family Shelter, Martin Library, Re-Source York, Lincoln Charter School, Covenant House Pennsylvania – York, Faith Community Church, and more. The program will feature MLK Vision Award recipients,entertainment from local artists followed by a community breakfast.
7:30am – Doors Open for Registration and Volunteer Assignments
8:00am – MLK Day Program and Community Breakfast
10:00am – 12:00pm – Volunteer Service Projects
