Crispus Attucks to Host 39th Annual MLK Day of Service

Crispus Attucks York will host its 39th Annual MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 18, 2021. The event will take place virtually via Zoom beginning at 10:00 AM and will feature virtual live tours of Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Sites and the William C. Goodridge Center and Underground Railroad Museum. Tours will be provided twice throughout the morning for the community’s convenience. You can join the Zoom meeting through the meeting ID of 478 270 9729 with password V09QUK.

The schedule of tours is as follows:

  • 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM  Tour of MLK Historic Sites (Birth home, visitor center, firehouse, Ebenezer Baptists Church, and burial site)
  • 10:45 AM – 11:00 AM   Q & A Session
  • 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM   MLK Historical Site Educational Video
  • 11:30 AM – 11:40 AM   Tour of the William C. Goodridge Freedom Center and Underground Railroad Museum
  • 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM  Tour of MLK Historic Sites (Birth home, visitor center, firehouse, Ebenezer Baptists Church, and burial site)
  • 12:30 PM – 12:50 PM  MLK Historical Site Educational Video
  • 12:50 PM – 1:00 PM   Tour of the William C. Goodridge Freedom Center and Underground Railroad Museum

Due to COVID-19, we will provide free “Grab and Go” breakfasts and lunches for members of the community to enjoy in the comfort of their homes. The meals will be available for pick up at 605 South Duke Street from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday, January 18, 2021.

Women United PA will additionally be distributing books to the community at 605 South Duke Street from 9 AM to 1 PM.

If you are able to participate in a service project, we encourage wearing masks, social distancing, and abiding by all safety protocols.
