Living the Dream Award Celebration

In honor of Black History Month, Crispus Attucks York (CAY) will host the second half of its 40th Annual MLK Day of Service on Monday, February 21, 2022. The event will take place virtually via Zoom beginning at 9:30 AM and will honor the Panther Anti-Racist Union, a youth organization focused on spreading awareness of issues of racism and social injustice within the Central York School District and beyond; and Luis Duran, a graduate of the Crispus Attucks Charter School, with the Living the Dream award.

The Living the Dream award recognizes high school juniors and seniors and recent alumni who exemplify Dr. King’s legacy through academic effort, community service, and leadership in the York community.

The event will be moderated by CAY’s Employment & Training Center Director and member of the Confronting Racism Coalition, Michael Jefferson.

You can join the Zoom meeting through the meeting ID of 478 270 9729. The event will also be live streamed through Facebook.

Free “Grab and Go” breakfasts will be available on a first come, first serve basis for all interested members of the community to enjoy in the comfort of their homes. The breakfasts will be available for pick up at 605 South Duke Street from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022.
