91st Annual Meeting
This year, our organization presented three members of our community with Give Rise to Possible awards for their outstanding work in uplifting York County and its residents.
Raskin Parcar, owner of Dunkin’ Donuts on Mount Rose Ave, provides jobs and a stable form of income to those in our community. Many of his employees are students attending Crispus Attucks Charter School working hard to build a brighter future.
Abdullah Jamison, Founder of S&O Sales & Tire Service and the APJ Foundation, expanded his businesses to include mobile automotive services to better serve those in the community. He goes above and beyond for his customers. Jamison founded the APJ Foundation to effect social change in at-risk youth by challenging them to pursue a healthy lifestyle and shape their future based on their dreams, not their obstacles.
Willie Standley, the owner of the New Hub Store, stood out as a business owner who treated customers as his friends and family. Over the years, the business became more than just a clothing store; it became an institution in town. In addition to clothing and shoe alterations and more, he offers a listening ear and advice to those that need it and helps people feel good about themselves.
It’s because of YOUR support that we are able to continue to give rise to possible! We look forward to serving York county and beyond for another 90 years! #OurCommunityRising
