CAY 1st Annual Veterans Stand Down to Homelessness Event!

“We’re thrilled to announce that Crispus Attucks York’s 1st Annual Veterans STAND DOWN to Homelessness event, held on June 22, 2023, was a huge success! Our goal was to assist homeless veterans and those experiencing homelessness, and we’re grateful to WellSpan Park for providing us with a venue for this vital event.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our community friends for their generous donations of food, personal care products, haircuts, transportation passes, clothing, health screenings, and much more.

This event would not have been possible without the support of the Veterans’ Employment & Training Service – United States Department of Labor, who provided the funding. Our veterans expressed their appreciation for the services provided, and stressed the importance of events like this. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!”
