A Summer of Learning, Fun, and Adventure! CAY Rising STARS Summer STEAM Activity Camp

 

Crispus Attucks York Rising STARS Summer STEAM Activity Camp was a Summer of learning, fun, and adventure.  As we say THANK YOU for another great summer, we wanted to share with you the exciting activities and events that kept our campers engaged, inspired, and entertained during camp.

At our camp, we believe in providing a holistic learning experience. Our campers have had the opportunity to learn about the importance of nutrition, safety measures, scientific principles, environmental conservation, and the wonders of wildlife through engaging presentations and hands-on activities.

From exploring the innovative minds of inventors to delving into the mysteries of space exploration and the inspiring journeys of astronauts, our campers have been on a thrilling educational ride. They also got to participate in various sports and fitness activities to stay active and healthy.

Thursdays were dedicated to swimming, where our campers get to cool off, have fun, and improve their swimming skills. Camp Olympic Day was a highlight, filled with friendly competition, team spirit, and a celebration of sportsmanship.

Our campers enjoyed three visits to the York Country Club, where they received tennis lessons, tried their hand at pickleball, went swimming, and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Additionally, we embarked on exciting field trips to various destinations including Golden Corral in Lancaster, Lake Tobias, Whitaker Center, City Ranch in Baltimore, Fun City, and Knoebels Amusement Park.

Regular visits to the library and surrounding parks provided our campers a peaceful retreat to explore new worlds through books and nature. 

 

The Family Luncheon

The Family Luncheon on July 26, 2024, was a heartwarming event that brought campers, families, and staff together for a day of togetherness and celebration. Each camper received a certificate and also gifted a $20 gift card to FiveBelow! 

The Crispus Attucks York Rising STARS Summer STEAM Activity Camp has been a place of growth, learning, and joy for our campers. As we continue to explore, discover, and create memories, we look forward to next summer filled with more adventures and opportunities for our campers to shine bright like the stars they are.
