The vibrant turquoise hue of the CAY History and Culture Center isn’t for aesthetic appeal; it’s color is part of the waterproofing process designed to prevent water from seeping into the structure, effectively reducing humidity and keeping the interior dry.

Currently, specialty contractors are hard at work on the essential rough plumbing and electrical systems. This phase involves the installation of pipes and wiring beneath the floors, within the walls, and above the ceilings.At this stage, the electrical and plumbing work is still in its early phase. The rough installations are crucial as they lay the groundwork for drywall, insulation, and ceiling installation.
