Crispus Attucks Charter School Hosts Successful Career Connections Day
On a mission to build pathways for future success, Crispus Attucks Charter School (CACS) proudly hosted its Career Connections Day, bringing together young adults, employers, recruiters, and community leaders for an inspiring day of growth and opportunity.
The event was designed for students aged 17–21 to connect, collaborate, and sharpen the professional skills needed to pursue meaningful careers. Students participated in a series of workshops and activities, including:
•The Importance of Clear and Concise Communication
•Preparing Thoughtful Answers to Anticipated Questions
•The Importance of Confidence and Body Language
•The Importance of Professional Appearance and Demeanor
•CareerLink Virtual Career Lab
•Mock Interviews with Employers and Recruiters
Each session provided hands-on learning experiences to strengthen students’ communication skills, boost confidence, and enhance their professional presence. In addition, students had the opportunity to meet directly with local employers and recruiters, practicing their networking abilities and making valuable connections for their future careers.
The day was not only educational but empowering. Students dressed professionally, brought copies of their résumés, and engaged fully with the resources provided to them, demonstrating the promise and potential that CACS is committed to nurturing.
