Rising STARS Experience Etiquette & Elegance at the Country Club of York

 

At Crispus Attucks York, we believe learning extends far beyond the classroom—and this week, our Rising STARS had an unforgettable opportunity to shine outside their everyday environment!

 

Our students took a special trip to the Country Club of York, where they were warmly welcomed and guided through a professional etiquette dining experience led by Shannon Seitz, Clubhouse Manager. With grace, patience, and expertise, Mrs. Seitz introduced our youth to the world of fine dining, social manners, and confidence-building life skills.

 

🍽️ Exploring Etiquette Through a Delicious Three-Course Meal

The students enjoyed a thoughtfully prepared meal, served as a true dining experience:

First Course
• Italian Tortellini Soup
• Fresh rolls with butter

Entree
• Parmesan-crusted Chicken Milanese 
• Mashed potatoes
• Steamed broccoli

Dessert
• Chocolate cake—always a favorite!

Throughout the meal, Ms. Seitz guided participants on everything from posture and napkin placement to conversation etiquette, fork and knife handling, and how to navigate a formal meal with confidence.

💡 A Lesson That Lasts a Lifetime

For many of our students, this was their first time in a country club dining room—a space often reserved for adults and formal occasions. Experiences like this help youth build social skills, develop professionalism, and feel comfortable in diverse environments.

These hands-on learning opportunities empower our Rising STARS to grow into poised, confident leaders—ready to shine in any room they enter.
