Amazing 2026 CAY Rising STARS STEAM Summer Camp
As we come to the end of another wonderful summer at the Crispus Attucks York Rising STARS STEAM Camp, we take a moment to celebrate the learning, growth, exploration, creativity, and unforgettable experiences that made this summer so special.
Throughout the summer, our young scholars had opportunities to learn, create, explore new interests, build friendships, and simply enjoy being kids. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the incredible team who showed up each day ready to encourage, teach, support, and inspire them.
Summer Adventures
This summer, our campers had the opportunity to get out into the community, experience new environments, stay active, and make memories together.
Our summer adventures included a trip to Indian Echo Caverns, a visit to the Country Club of York, where scholars enjoyed playing tennis and swimming in the pool, a fun-filled day at Fun City, a trip to the skating rink, dining together at Golden Corral, activities at the Boys Club, defining gravity at Altitude Trampoline Park, having a great time at Knoebels Amusement Park, and a visit to the movie theater.
Each adventure offered another opportunity for our scholars to explore, socialize, build confidence, try something new, and enjoy time together. From educational exploration to recreation, it was truly a summer filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and FUN!
Celebrating Nutrition, Creativity, and Achievement
Parents and guardians were impressed to see the incredible collection of creative artwork produced by our young scholars right here at the Crispus Attucks York Community Center.
But this wasn’t your typical art presentation!
The summer concluded with our End-of-Summer Camp Lunch-In, a special celebration centered around the theme of nutrition. The event was a huge success and gave our campers an opportunity to showcase the hard work, creativity, and knowledge they developed throughout the summer.
Our campers worked hard preparing their performances and projects, and that hard work was on full display for their families.
“I am a positive individual, ready to navigate my life, in positive channels. The world owes me nothing. It is up to me to achieve, to live my life, to live my destiny, my plan is to succeed.”
Hearing our scholars speak these words with pride was a reminder of what Rising STARS is all about.
We must continue preparing our young people to recognize their potential and use their voices in positive ways. Whether they were presenting their artwork, walking confidently through the crowd, performing for their families, or standing together to recite their creed, our scholars demonstrated just how much they have grown.
Their voice is their POWER. Their potential is their GREATNESS.
Programs like Rising STARS continue that legacy by investing in the next generation and providing young people with opportunities to discover their talents, develop confidence, build relationships, and recognize the greatness within themselves.
