York, PA – On Friday, September 13, 2024 from 10 am until 2 PM at WellSpan Park Baseball Stadium, home of the York Revolution, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York PA 17401, Crispus Attucks York will host the Second Annual STAND DOWN event for at-risk veterans and veterans experiencing homelessness in York County. This event is in partnership with the York Revolution, Lifepath Christian Ministries, PA Career Link, York Benevolent Association, The Salvation Army, Advent Lutheran Church, Papa John’s, and other non-profit organizations and business supporters. Veterans will receive a free hot BBQ lunch, a tote bag of non-perishable foods, hygiene kits, Rabbit Transit bus passes, haircuts, dental and health screenings, clothing, and have access to the shower facilities provided by the York Revolution. Numerous organizations will be at the event to provide a variety of community resources to assist the veterans.
