“Striving to Achieve Remarkable Success”

Rising STARS empowers youth to reach their fullest potential so that they are prepared when the “baton” is passed to them. Our goal is not to ‘fix’ youth, but to develop them. The Rising STARS provides after-school and summer educational, recreational, and social responsibility opportunities for youth ages 5 to 17 years old and their families.

ARISE

The ARISE Life Skills Curriculum empowers youth and young adults to achieve their highest potential. Lessons focus on anti-bullying, anger management, conflict resolution, self-esteem, the effects of drugs and alcohol, and healthy choices and relationships.

STEAM

We incorporate STEAM-themed (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) activities and workshops to teach children and youth to take thoughtful risks, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process to become the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century.

Life Skills Classes

All students participate in Weekly Life Skills classes that provide a gender and age-appropriate forum where they can explore the issues they face and equip themselves with skills for success.

Kid’s Cafes

Students learn from community leaders about different cultures, educational opportunities, careers, and the skills needed to successfully avoid the pitfalls of living in an at-risk neighborhood.

Summer Camp

Rising STARS offers a 6-week STEAM-themed summer camp where campers visit museums and science centers in and around the York area, design robots and learn coding principles, participate in swimming and tennis lessons, and so much more!
