This annual celebration transforms the museum into a winter wonderland filled with beautifully decorated trees, each inspired by history, heritage, and holiday cheer.   • 44th Annual MLK Day of Service – 2026

    On January 19, 2026, Crispus Attucks York will host its 44th Annual MLK Day of Service. The doors will open at 7:30 am, and the program will begin at 8:00 am, followed by breakfast. The morning program will include the annual "Living the Dream award celebration, entertainment, and community service opportunities to benefit local non-profit organizations. This year theme, "Not a day off, but a day on", amplifies Dr. King’s message of community service. Now is the time to act on Dr. King message and his dream. Join us for a day of celebration and service to others. This free event was sponsored by Aetna Better Health, the American Water Charitable Foundation, and the Welcoming Communities grant from Cultural Alliance of York County. Please note: children in attendance must be accompanied by an adult. The Michael D. Jefferson “Living the Dream” award recognizes York countians who exemplify Dr. King’s and Mr. Jefferson’s legacy through academic effort, community service, and leadership in the York community. This year, we will be honoring Mr. Willie Green, Dr. Sakeenah Sweeney, Mr. James E Way II, and Mrs. Tonya Hall.     Get Involved Be part of this day of reflection and service! At 11:00 AM, community members, supporters, and partners will gather to celebrate the official Grand Opening of a center designed to preserve history, celebrate culture, and inspire future generations. As we continue to Give Rise to Possible in our community of York, PA!  A Vision Realized The CAYHCC represents years of planning, collaboration, and commitment to honoring the rich history of African Americans in York County.
